Dry brushing while pregnant?

For those who aren't familiar, dry brushing is an act of literally brushing your skin (not too hard of course) in circular motions, starting at your feet, upwards towards your heart. Here is a more in-depth explanation.

Yea, I know. You can barely see over your stomach, or even shave, as it is but hear me out. The effects of dry brushing are amazing and the benefits outweigh the contorting you'll have to hold while leaning over.

HEALTH BENEFITS

- Stimulates your lymph system

- Assists the body in getting rid of toxins

- Increases circulation and energy

- Reduces cellulite

- Reduces the risk of stretch marks

- Helps to prepare the skin for tightening after giving birth

HOW TO DRY BRUSH

1 | Make sure your brush and body are dry (hence the name).

2 | Since you are technically removing dead skin cells, it's best to begin in the shower

(water off) so the water can rinse it away.

3 | Start at your feet and brush your skin in, gentle, circular strokes upwards towards your heart.

4 | Shower as you would normally.

5 | Make sure to moisturize! (I love sweet almond or coconut oil).

I set my timer for five minutes and brush each limb evenly but it's totally up to you and how much time you have. The key is to stay consistent 👌🏼

Please be careful to not press too hard with the skin around your belly, breasts and neck. It's very sensitive, especially during this time.

Be kind and love yourself, Mamma! You're doing amazing.

With love,

Cassie

ADDED BONUS: Diffuse some relaxing essential oils and make it your own spa day 🙏🏼
